He was retained as the lead economic expert witness in one of the largest settlements in California history involving PG&E Corporation and Pacific Gas and Electric Company.

Eric’s Background

Eric Sussman is a CPA, real estate investor, and tenured faculty member at the UCLA Anderson School of Management, where he has taught corporate accounting, real estate finance, valuation, and financial statement analysis for over 30 years.

Since founding his first real estate firm in 1993, he has led acquisitions and syndications totaling over $1.3 billion across various property types nationwide. As Managing Partner of Clear Capital, LLC, he currently oversees approximately 4,500 multifamily units and 500,000 square feet of commercial space.

With over 150 expert witness engagements and more than 100 testimonies, his experience is both extensive and unparalleled. Notably, none of his testimony has ever been excluded. His background in accounting, real estate operations, and teaching allows him to clearly explain complex financial and real estate issues to judges, juries, and various stakeholders.
